Matt is an award-winning artist from Springville, NY, who began sculpting in 2016 as a form of stress relief. He taught himself to weld, creating an outlet for his energy. A mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry by trade, Matt combines reclaimed industrial steel with the forms of nature.
With over 17,500 Instagram followers all over the world, Matt has sold his art all over the world. His works are available Here, Amazon and ETSY. These days, you might find Matt garbage picking at the side of the road or hauling in a box of donated junk from family or friends. All of his creations are at least 95% recycled, reclaimed, or found metal. Each sculpture is born from old clocks, gears, nuts, bolts, shovels, and tools – fitted and welded together in their original forms – to build a three-dimensional piece. Every piece tells its own unique story.
